Having grown up in an international family of hoteliers and art collectors, Sabrina Wirth takes a very collaborative and human approach to curatorial projects. She has given numerous talented artists their first exposure in the New York art world (physically and in print) guiding them through professional feedback and providing beneficial contacts to advance their careers. Her published work can be found in: The Economist, The Art Newspaper, Cultured Magazine, Musée Magazine, and the New York Daily News among others.
Her interest in bringing people together and creating new dialogue around social issues through unique art experiences led her to pioneer “pop up” art exhibitions in New York starting in 2009 when the financial crash left many storefronts and business spaces empty. She has curated exhibitions in hotels, residences, and commercial spaces. Most recently she is interested in creating unique, intimate art experiences in the form of “Salons”. Collaborations have included Yale Graduate School of Art, Marlborough Gallery, Nohra Haime Gallery, Salomon Arts Gallery, Thompson Hotel, and Kitchen Habitat among others. Sabrina works with artists at all stages of their careers.
Sabrina studied art history at Williams College, art business at Sotheby’s Institute, and curatorial practices and exhibition design at Columbia University. She is fluent in Spanish, French, Italian, and English, and has traveled all over the world -including Iraq- connecting with people and looking for collaborative opportunities to connect cultures and find new perspectives through art.
With the belief that everything and everyone has a story, Sabrina aims to bring out that story in each curatorial project, creative business strategy, and cultural partnership that she works on.
